Capital Planning Manager

to join our team and drive strategic investment planning, ensuring our facilities, infrastructure, and services are aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals.


As the Capital Planning Manager, you will take ownership of developing and maintaining strategic Facilities Investment Plans, prioritizing site capital investments, and driving alignment with GSK's broader business strategies. This role focuses on lifecycle asset management, long-term sustainability planning, and effective allocation of capital resources to maximize asset value and support R&D innovation.


You will collaborate with stakeholders across R&D leadership, engineering, operations, EHS, and service partners to ensure facilities and infrastructure are fit for purpose. Your leadership will contribute to the delivery of key strategic business projects while driving continuous improvement and optimizing capital investments to meet GSK's objectives.


Key Responsibilities



As our Capital Planning Manager, you will:


Act as the primary client interface, building relationships with business leads, site engineering/operations, EHS, and service partners to develop and implement strategic Facilities Investment Plans. Partner with R&D leadership to scope and assess feasibility for key strategic business projects, ensuring infrastructure and services meet future needs. Develop and manage annual capital plans, prioritizing investments based on business, infrastructure, and EHS risks, aligned with site and GSK objectives. Lead the site's Lifecycle Asset Management (LCAM) program, ensuring condition assessments are completed and driving need-based capital investment to maximize asset lifecycle. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify future capacity, technology, and infrastructure requirements. Monitor portfolio performance using KPIs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Triage new project requests, prioritizing them within the capital plan and determining the most appropriate delivery path (e.g., large capital, small capital, site minor works). Manage the portfolio's capital budget, including demand forecasting, funding allocation, and tracking actual expenditures. Foster continuous improvement and effective communication to align capital planning with broader business strategies.

Basic Qualification



We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Facilities Management, Operations, Engineering, or Project Management. Experience in facilities management, engineering, or capital planning roles in a highly regulated environment, preferably in Pharmaceuticals. Financial literacy and experience in capital budgeting, including tracking and governing expenditures. Broad engineering knowledge and familiarity with project management processes and tools. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels. Ability to lead diverse teams, drive performance, and foster continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualification



If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:


Master's Degree in Facilities Management, Operations, Engineering, or Project Management.
