Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity




Following an internal move we have an opportunity for a Capital Planning Specialist to join our Group-wide capital planning team which sits within our broader Treasury function. You'll be responsible for production of monthly capital management information, owning key elements of the budgeting and forecasting process (incl. stress testing), support with the annual ICAAP, and support with policy & requirements.


As a member of the Capital Planning and wider Treasury team, you'll act as a first line of defence for Capital Risk, helping to ensure that Aldermore Group remains adequately capitalised to support the Group's strategy under both steady state and stressed conditions.

What will your day look like?



You'll report into the Head of Capital Planning who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, one-to-ones and development conversations Production of monthly and ad hoc capital management information, including liaising with the Regulatory Reporting team Support with the budgeting/forecasting process, including the opportunity to enhance modelling, processes and forward-looking MI Support with co-ordination and analysis for the annual ICAAP Help with interpreting and implementing any relevant regulatory change Support with elements of the Group's capital strategy/optimisation initiatives, including capital issuance, rating agency relationships, and any relevant regulatory permissions

What do we expect from you?



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and articulate technical concepts in a clear and succinct way Highly numerate with an ability to analyse financial data, with an eye for detail and aptitude for problem solving In-depth knowledge of MS Office packages, Excel in particular Confident, articulate, and able to challenge the status-quo Previous modelling experience within a finance or treasury role, experience of Capital Management is desirable An understanding of retail / commercial banking is desirable
