Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions to facilitate accurate repairs Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure all tools and machinery are in proper working order Assist with the installation of new parts and systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and maintenance recommendations clearly Undertake heavy lifting when required to move parts or components safely within the workshop Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle serviced

Experience

Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and assembly instructions Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machinery Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills Prior experience providing exceptional customer service is desirable

Pay: 24,420.00-51,691.29 per year
