We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and mechanical knowledge
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely
Interpret technical manuals and assembly instructions to facilitate accurate repairs
Assist with the installation of new parts and components, ensuring proper fit and function
Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid replacements
Repair or replace damaged or worn parts using appropriate equipment and techniques
Conduct safety inspections to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Assist in the organisation of workshop activities, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
Undertake heavy lifting when required to move parts or equipment safely
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role with practical knowledge of vehicle systems
Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical principles, and vehicle assembly processes
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair tools
Ability to read technical manuals and interpret technical diagrams accurately
Good organisational skills with attention to detail during diagnostics and repairs
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with vehicle maintenance
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
Prior experience in equipment repair and routine maintenance is desirable
Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential depending on the role requirements
