We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Parts Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of parts to various locations, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Parts Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by ensuring that our warehouse remains well-stocked and that deliveries are made efficiently.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a van to deliver parts to designated locations, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload parts from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as required. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Assist in the organisation of warehouse inventory, ensuring that parts are stored correctly and accessible for quick retrieval. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order and report any maintenance needs promptly. Collaborate with team members to optimise delivery routes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with colleagues and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading parts. A valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage. Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
