Overview

We are seeking a reliable and Car Transporter Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently end of life vehicles throughout the North West, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and maintenance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving, delivery experience, and mechanical knowledge to contribute to our operational success. A valid full driver's licence is essential along with BE entitlement, along with strong communication skills and familiarity with flatbed vehicles.

Duties

Safely operate vehicles, to transport vehicles across designated routes Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper securing of items during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines and optimise fuel consumption Communicate effectively with management regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations throughout all transportation activities

Experience

Proven experience in driving vehicles, particularly vehicles which transport cars Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics operations Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients Valid full driver's licence with BE entitlement is mandatory; a clean driving record is preferred Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial transport in the UK Tachograph card required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 130.00-140.00 per day
