Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional driver to join our team, collecting and delivering vehicles using one of our single car transporters. This role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients.

The position involves inspecting vehicles for bodywork and mechanical issues, making Motor Trade experience or mechanical knowledge essential. Collections and deliveries will be carried out either using our 4x4 or our single car transporter or by driving individual vehicles back to our preparation centre in North Tyneside. The maximum operating radius is 200 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided. The ideal candidate will be smart and well-presented, have a positive attitude, and, most importantly, be a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles, including our 4x4 car and car trailer Collect and deliver vehicles safely, accurately, and on schedule Carry out vehicle inspections, identifying any bodywork or mechanical issues Conduct routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and safe working practices Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including vehicle condition reports and logs Communicate clearly with management, colleagues, and clients Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving or vehicle delivery Full, valid UK driving licence Motor Trade experience or mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and fault identification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good organisational skills and attention to detail
