Carbon Specialist (Delivery)- Sizewell C



Location:

London, Manchester or Suffolk minimum 2 days a week in the office

Contract type:

Full time, permanent

Salary:

Circa 55,000-60,000 + bonus + excellent benefits including: 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, opportunity to buy and sell holiday, contributary pension up to 7.5% employee/ up to 15% employer, life assurance, opportunity to purchase extra benefits such as private healthcare, dental cover, electric car schemes, discounted gym memberships and much more.

About the Role




As a Carbon Specialist, you'll be at the heart of Sizewell C's mission to reduce construction carbon emissions. Reporting to the Carbon Lead, you'll work closely with delivery teams, contractors, and supply chain partners to embed carbon reduction strategies into every stage of the project, from design and procurement to construction and operations.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing and delivering a roadmap for diesel-free construction. Supporting low-carbon design, procurement, and construction practices. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation. Ensuring carbon requirements are integrated into procurement and delivery. Contributing to sustainability reporting and performance tracking.

What We're Looking For




We're seeking someone with:

5-10 years' experience in carbon management/ a similar role within construction or infrastructure. A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field is desirable but not essential if you hold relevant experience Strong understanding of low carbon construction strategies and diesel free technologies. Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills. Experience working with major infrastructure projects (e.g., HS2, National Highways, National Grid, or consultancies such as Atkins, Mott MacDonald, etc.).
