To provide reception services to Cardiac Department QEH by meeting and greeting patients attending for Cardiac Diagnostics.
To answer telephone and respond to all enquiries relating to Cardiac Diagnostics.
To book ECG referrals into slots in include all necessary admin supporting this process.
To provide administrative and reception support to the cardiac department.
To use iCare and department specific IT system to log attendances and book diagnostic tests.
To ensure staff are made aware of patient attendances.
To ensure wellbeing of patients in waiting and escalate delayed patient or unwell patients to appropriate senior staff in cardiac Department.
To manage telephone enquires as they relate to cardiac Diagnostics and direct callers appropriately where required.

To act as receptionist for Cardiology OPD or RACPC clinics that may occur in Cardiac Department ensuring patients are 'checked in' as required by Trust.
Ensures chargeable activity is entered on to the required systems and attended as required.
Deals with enquiries from other staff groups internally and externally diverting enquiries appropriately.
Has basic understanding of the Cardiac Diagnostics in order to manage related enquiries.
Is aware of procedures relating to unwell patients or emergency requests and escalates accordingly.
Supports students and volunteers in relation to patient processes within the scope of the reception duties.
