An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist Nurse at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Although predominantly based at Maidstone Hospital some cross site working will be required as well as visits to patients home.
Applications are invited from a reliable and enthusiastic nurse to join our small cardiac rehabilitation team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cardiac rehabilitation and is committed to the delivery of excellent care
Experience in cardiology nursing would be helpful, but we are also keen to meet nurses with experience of working in rehabilitation in other specialities.
Access to a car for work purposes is essential due to community visits.
Main duties of the job
Working with the other members of the team, and supported by the senior cardiac rehabilitation nurse specialist, you will manage a caseload of patients requiring cardiac rehabilitation services as inpatients, in clinics, in patients' homes and during formal cardiac rehabilitation courses (hospital and community venues).
You will empower patients and their carers to participate in the management of their conditions, thus aiming to improve the longevity and quality of their lives.
Informal visits prior to application / interview are essential to fully understand the role.
