consultant

to work with us at

Princes Alexandra Hospitals NHS Trust

in

Cardiology.

As a Consultant in Cardiology, you will be responsible care of inpatients, including 3 weekly ward rounds, and sharing of inpatient referrals. It is anticipated that most cardiology patients will be managed by the cardiology team, which will provide a weekday chest pain triage service for acute admissions. Outpatient clinics Consultant cardiology clinics will be undertaken with support from training grade doctors and at times a locum/Associate Specialist. At present cardiology clinics are general, but re -organisation into specialist areas could be considered. In addition, the post holder will be expected to support the Nurse led Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic and the Technician led pacemaker clinic, sharing these duties with Consultant Colleague(s). Cardiac investigation : Most cardiac investigation is performed and reported by technicians. The post holder would be expected to support technicians as necessary in education, training and providing back

Some duties might include:

Patient Care

: Conduct thorough evaluations and consultations for patients with cardiovascular conditions, developing personalized treatment plans.

Collaboration

: Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.

Education and Training

: Provide training and education to medical staff on the latest advancements in cardiology techniques and technologies.

Research and Development

: Participate in clinical research activities, contributing to the development of new cardiovascular treatments and technologies.

: 95- 106 per hour

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all candidates applying for this role must have the following:

Valid GMC Right to work in the UK & Based in the Uk Currently Clinical attachment complete Minimum of 6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK Possession of CCT in Cardiology Please ensure you can provide at least three years worth of NHS references
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 95.00-106.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
