As an Care Admin Support at Henshaws College in Harrogate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of operational support to our care team. With a particular focus on recruitment, you will provide proactive and professional administrative assistance that helps maintain the high standards of care our students rely on. Your work will support compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance the overall quality of service we provide.


This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for supporting others behind the scenes. By ensuring our care team has the administrative backing they need, you'll directly contribute to a positive, person-centred environment where young people with complex needs and disabilities can thrive.


Your contribution will help Henshaws continue its mission to empower and support students every day, enabling them to live more independently and with greater confidence.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong administrative skills, including diary management, minute-taking, word processing, and accurate data input into databases. Excellent customer care is essential, along with a confident and professional communication style when engaging with individuals at all levels. You will have strong literacy and numeracy skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with accuracy and precision.



Good organisational and time management skills are vital, as is the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your own workload to meet deadlines. You'll be a flexible and proactive team player who uses initiative, maintains confidentiality, and always acts with discretion. A positive, enthusiastic, and "can do" attitude is key, alongside a respectful and sensitive approach to supporting our client group.


You'll also need to be confident using a variety of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and internet tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a calm and courteous manner, are essential. A commitment to completing required training and qualifications within agreed timescales, and a clear respect for the rights of our students, is also expected.
