Who We Are



Sunny Bank PRS (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service) is a CQC-rated 'Outstanding' service supporting individuals with mental health needs. We provide a fully integrated rehabilitative psychiatric service, including residential care, day care and supported living.


Our aim is to deliver person-centred, rehabilitative residential care for up to 21 residents who require medium to long-term support. Many of our clients progress to semi-independent living within the community. We also offer day care and support across 3 supported living properties in Bury (located close to our main residential home).

About the Role




We are seeking a dedicated

Care & Support Assistant

to work at our main home, Sunnybank PRS, as well as within our supported housing in the community.

This role requires a full, clean UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.




Applicants

must have previous experience

in mental health residential care and hold a

Level 2 or 3 Diploma (or equivalent)

in Health & Social Care. The role involves working

37.5 hours per week

, including evenings, weekends and occasional sleep-in shifts. Sleep-in shifts will be required following successful completion of a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities




Report to the Registered Manager & Director Support clients across Sunnybank PRS and our supported housing properties. To assist the Director and Registered Manager and other staff in the daily running of mental health services To assist the Director and Registered Manager and other staff in maintaining the identified principles and standards of care and support. To maintain the staff code of practice issued by Skills for Care To assist in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating clients' individual care and support plans, including risk assessments. To dispense prescribed medication to clients To assist in maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation To undertake infection control training and uphold infection control standards To assist in meal preparation/serving for clients To support clients with social activities

About You




We're looking for someone who:

Holds a

Level 2 or 3 Diploma (or equivalent)

in Health and Social Care (essential*)
Has

previous experience

working in a Mental Health residential care role (essential*)
Possesses a

full, clean UK Driving Licence

and access to their own vehicle (essential*)
Is willing to undertake training (e.g. Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Infection Control, Medication and other mandatory training) Communicates effectively and works well in a team Can work independently with a positive attitude and food time management skills
