Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care and Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those we serve.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity while promoting their physical and emotional well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transportation. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document care provided and update care plans as necessary to reflect changes in client needs. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events to foster social inclusion. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients as part of their support plan. Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial for ensuring personalised support.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
