Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, assisting them with daily activities and promoting their independence. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you care for, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in their homes. We need people who want to make difference to people's lives. People, who care, are great communicators, strong work ethic with a great sense of humour and team spirit. No experience is necessary as full training is provided, including inductions. We are not able to offer Health and Care Worker visas so you will need to have the Right to Work in the UK. We have walking and driving runs available.

We try are hardest to work to your availability, although you will be required to work every other weekend. No two days are the same and although personal care is an element of the role it is not the biggest part.

Responsibilities



Implement personalised care plans tailored to the individual needs of clients. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately in line with organisational policies. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment that encourages independence. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Skills



Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to drive is preferred but not essential. Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and connect with clients on a personal level. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
