Important Notice:

We are currently unable to sponsor Skilled Worker visas. Therefore, we can only consider applications from individuals already residing in Huddersfield or the wider Kirklees district. Due to the community-based nature of this role, having your own transport (car, scooter, or electric bike) is essential.

Role: Community Home Care Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Local care rounds in HD1-HD5 Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, including evenings and weekends Additional Hours: Optional overtime available Start Date: Immediate starts available following training and DBS clearance

Pay and Benefits

12.70/hour - Weekdays before 6 PM 13.25/hour - Evenings and weekends Mileage: Paid at 25p per mile (Google Maps), plus support with claiming HMRC mileage relief (additional 20p per mile) EarlyPay Access: Withdraw earnings before payday Annual Leave: Paid time off, plus mental health days available with 24 hours' notice Free DBS check (conditions apply) Free Care Certificate training + access to Level 2 and 3 Diplomas Uniform provided

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting service users with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and continence needs. Assisting with safe mobility and use of equipment. Administering or supporting medication routines. Preparing meals and ensuring adequate nutrition. Providing companionship and emotional support. Following person-centred care plans and communicating with families and professionals. Observing and reporting changes in client wellbeing. Maintaining a safe and clean home environment for service users.

What We're Looking For

No prior experience required - full training provided. You must have your own transport. A kind, reliable, and professional attitude. Flexibility and willingness to work regular shifts. Strong verbal communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
