Balloo House Care Home- Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a home from home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in your care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, serving meals , and maintaining residents independence. Follow individual care plans to ensure that each resident's specific needs are met. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and progress. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately and promptly. Support residents in engaging with social activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.

Criteria:

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks. A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
