Christadelphian Care Homes exists mainly, although not exclusively, to care for members of the Christadelphian Faith. We operate a number of Care Homes and Sheltered Housing schemes throughout the UK and are able to deliver care tailored to individual needs from low support through to residential, nursing and specialised care, including dementia. At our home in Bournemouth we are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated team player to join us as a Care Assistant working flexibly as a bank employee. The focus of this role is to actively participate in and supervise the delivery of care to the residents to meet their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs and ensuring dignity, choice and independence are maintained at all times.

You'll be responsible for the administration of medication alongside leading on the responsibility of residents individual care documentation ensuring a person centred approach at all times. You'll work effectively with others within the home to ensure that residents needs are continuously met.

Additionally you'll:

Undertake responsibility within an area of work as delegated by the Home Manager.

Be familiar with the administrative records of the Home and ensure that all records that you are responsible for are kept up to date.

To follow appropriate procedures in the event of accidents/ emergencies e.g. fire, missing residents.

Be aware of the security of the home and promote this within appropriate parameters as set out in risk management.

To report and advise the relevant persons with respect to the repairs and maintenance of the home.

To be successful in this role you'll have respect for diversity and individuality and a genuine interest in and experience of working with the elderly. You'll be able to communicate effectively at all levels as well as being outgoing and passionate about your role. You'll be fully computer literate and have experience the the Safe Handling of Medicines.

Pay: From 12.51 per hour
