Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to provide care and support to residents. We are now seeking a bank employee. A contract for a permanent post may be obtained following a three-month probationary term. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents throughout the night, assisting with personal care, monitoring their needs, and responding to any emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide overnight care and support to residents in a care home or healthcare setting.

Assist with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.

Ensure residents are comfortable and settled during the night.

Respond to call bells and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with medication administration (if trained and required).

Carry out regular checks on residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Provide emotional support and reassurance when needed.

Maintain accurate records and reports on residents' conditions and care provided.

Assist with light housekeeping duties such as changing beds, cleaning, and preparing the environment for the morning shift.

Work closely with the day team to ensure continuity of care.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous care experience preferred but not essential (training provided).

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physically fit to perform care duties, including manual handling.

Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety procedures (training provided).

A relevant Care Certificate or willingness to complete training.

Working Hours:

Day shifts are from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm & 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm

Night shifts typically run from 8 PM - 8 AM.

May involve weekends and holidays on a rota basis.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
