08:00-20:00/20:00-08:00 shifts available to cover

Excellent opportunity for a dedicated, hard-working individual interested in working at The Oaks Care Home, Sandstone Care Group\xe2\x80\x99s purpose-built nursing and residential home in Newtown, Powys.

This stunning 73-bedded luxury home opened its doors in January 2020 and offers its residents state-of-the-art facilities unrivalled in the area, to include a coffee shop / bistro, hair & nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas, activities room and landscaped gardens, whilst at the same time providing exceptional standards of care supported by the very latest care planning and nurse-call technology.

We are recruiting a wide range of skill sets to enhance the care we give to our residents, and as a forward-thinking team with so many exciting things coming ahead, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to be part of this ongoing journey.

As a Care Assistant at our home, your role may involve:

Undertaking any necessary training
Supporting our residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and getting involved with daily activities
Providing emotional support and companionship
Supporting our residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focussed on their individual hobbies, preferences and abilities
Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
Working flexibly as part of a team to ensure our residents\' needs are met

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our \xe2\x80\x98Reward Me\xe2\x80\x99 app. Flexible pay is available via \xe2\x80\x98WAGESTREAM\xe2\x80\x99. Advertised pay rates are for shifts worked from 1st April 2023.

What are we looking for?

A positive outlook and a warm personality
Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working in the health and social care sector- experience is beneficial but certainly not essential!
Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents
