Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support in a respectful and dignified manner. Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client status to the supervising nurse or manager. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Empathy and patience, particularly when dealing with vulnerable individuals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a care setting. Previous experience in a care role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. A valid driving licence is preferred for community-based roles.
