As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or care homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, following any specific dietary needs outlined in care plans.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager.
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as necessary.
Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each client's individual needs are met effectively.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients when required.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and communication purposes.
Experience in home care or working within a care home setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showing initiative when necessary.
