Overview

Umbrella Health Care are seeking dedicated self-employed Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being. You will play a vital role in supporting our clients to live and remain independent in their own homes. Our clients are located across Castle Point including Canvey Island, Benfleet and Hadleigh.

Please note a driving licence is not mandatory but candidates must be able to travel to clients (bus, bike, scooter, by foot etc)

Full training (theory & practical) is provided

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, oral care etc. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed as well as food shopping Maintain accurate records of client progress and adhere to established care plans. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Attend appointments or social activities as required. Provide companionship support to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Skills

Experience in home care or working within a care home setting is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members. This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (criminal record) Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Proficiency in IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence with access to your own vehicle is advantageous but not essential Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.

Pay: 12.30-18.45 per hour
