Job Description
CARE ASSISTANT
The Hawthorns, a 20 bed residential care home in Edgbaston providing care for people over 65 years old.
Normal shifts will be 8am-3pm or 3pm-10pm.
Hours will range from 28-35 hours per week.
Shifts do include weekends - please do not apply if you are not able to work weekends.
Your role:
To provide the highest levels of care and ensuring that care plans are followed Supporting residents with personal care, such as dressing, eating, bathing, laundry, and taking medication Maintaining accurate records Develop and maintain key relationships with residents, staff, families, and professionals Ensuring that Health and Safety practice is maintained to a high standard. Empowering service users to be fully involved in decisions and the running of their own service offering meaningful choices and opportunities. Ensuring that Residents are kept safe at all times
You will need to have:
Friendly and approachable personality and a passion for working with people. Previous experience and ideally a knowledge of working with older adults. Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care. Clear enhanced DBS
