Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a vital role in assisting with daily living activities, following care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily activities including meal preparation and medication management. Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all clients.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when needed. Basic IT skills to manage documentation and communication effectively. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently as required.
