We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in their home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have experience in supervising staff while ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both service users and their families.
This will be an Hybrid role where some of your days will be in the field and other days will be in the office.
Duties
Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
Supervise and support junior staff, ensuring high standards of care are upheld at all times.
Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals regarding care needs and updates.
Maintain accurate records of service user care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Participate in training sessions to enhance personal development and stay updated on best practices in senior care.
Assisting with
scheduling carers
and rota planning
Supporting compliance and quality assurance processes
Qualifications
Previous experience in a senior care role or within a care home environment is essential.
Supervising experience is preferred, showcasing leadership capabilities within a team setting.
Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building rapport with residents.
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
