Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Develop and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Foster a positive environment by engaging clients in social activities and promoting their independence. Ensure that the care home or home environment is clean, safe, and welcoming. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Skills

Proficient driving skills are advantageous for roles involving home care services. Experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is beneficial. Strong command of English for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families while working collaboratively within a team. Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
