Duties

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Supporting clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met. Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any changes in condition. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns or observations to the appropriate personnel. Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Adhering to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for both clients and staff.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Care Assistant position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed.
