We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and following care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required. Help with meals when necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's condition to the appropriate personnel. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalised support is delivered effectively. Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance the quality of life for those in your care. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring transportation of clients. Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using care management software. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with clients and their families, ensuring a supportive atmosphere at all times.
