Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively while maintaining a supportive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their personal hygiene and grooming. Help with mobility and physical exercises as directed by care plans. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills, particularly in English, to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide personalised support. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.
