Job Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. Your primary focus will be to support clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of those you care for.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help with meal preparation and ensure clients have access to nutritious food. Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with care plans. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in care practices. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation of clients. Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual client needs. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
