Care Assistant (in a Care Home)
Hourly rate: up to 12.30 (raising to 12.50 after one years service)
Shift length: 7.5 hours (3 shifts per week = 22.5 hours, opportunity to pick up more to cover holidays and sickness)

We are currently looking for a passionate, kind and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our well-trained and friendly team of staff.
Job Purpose:
You will look after the day-to-day needs of our residents, whilst showing compassion, care and commitment to having a positive impact on their lives. You will work with a team of like-minded individuals, all with a desire to ensure that our residents are comfortable in their home.
Duties include:
Helping our residents with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and feeding themselves, ensuring that they are as comfortable and as well looked after as possible.
Assisting our residents with mobility, turning, positioning. Providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Responding to the nurse call system promptly.
General household tasks such as making beds, ironing and tidying up.
Getting to know out residents so that you can deliver care that is tailored to their individual needs.
Maintaining resident stability by checking vital signs, body mass, testing urine, recording intake and output information.
Administering medicine and treatments.
Documenting all actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
Skills/Qualifications:

Experience:
Ideally you will have previously worked in the care sector with old age and dementia and hold a QCF Level 2 qualification. However, full training will be provided and a willingness to learn would be key.
