Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Holmehurst Residential Home. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the high standards of care that our residents deserve.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Monitor and report changes in residents' health and well-being to senior staff. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Support residents with mobility and physical exercises as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care assistant role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a care environment.

This role is to cover maternity, however there is an opportunity for this temporary role to progress into a permanent position.

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week

12 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
