As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support to individuals through home care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting their independence. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, adhering to dietary requirements.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow personalised care plans.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their comfort during transit.
Skills
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Experience in a home care is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
