We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of care. This position requires a commitment to delivering personalised care in both home care and care home settings.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans accordingly. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care.

Skills

Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is preferred. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication. Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients when needed. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for this role.
