Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those you assist, following care plans and fostering a positive environment.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in following their personalised care plans to meet their specific needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of those in your care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client schedules.
