Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Chorley. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to our client in in his own home, ensuring his comfort, dignity, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the client with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to his specific needs.

You can choose any or all of the shifts below.

Day shifts:

8am to 2pm 2pm to 8pm 8am to 8pm
Night Shift: 8pm to 8am

Applicants would be employed for this contract at Chorley.

Responsibilities

Deliver person-centred care within the client's own home. Assist the client with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support client with mobility and movement around his home Build a warm and trusting relationship with the service user by engaging in appropriate humour, friendly banter, and light-hearted conversation in line with his preferences. Communicate in a clear, natural manner, demonstrating the ability to understand the service user's colloquialisms, jokes, and informal expressions. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring all requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Accompany client to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring his safety during transport. Administer medication according to the care and medication plan. You ensure that the client receives the right medication, in the right dose, at the right time. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment. Enrich client's life and promote independence.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with the client, client's family and team members. Use of care management software Experience in domiciliary care or care home setting Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
