We are looking for Care Assistants to join our team at Avon View.
Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.
As a Care Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
Supporting clients
with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
Complying with Health and Safety
requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
Maintaining dignity,
privacy and respect for our clients.
The ability to work flexibly
across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.
The successful candidate should have:
The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
Good communication skills.
Empathy with the needs of the clients.
IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.
36 hours per week
Nursing unit - 3 vacancies
Dementia and residential unit - 3 vacancies
