PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR CARE HOME EXPERIENCE AND LEVEL 2 OR ABOVE IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

1. Ensure that the needs of residents are met in a patient and caring manner.

2. Help residents who need assistance with dressing, personal hygiene and toileting when required, respecting residents' rights to exercise choice in all areas of their life.

3. Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities to move freely within the Home.

4. Agree care plans with residents and their families/significant others and implement care as agreed, respecting the resident's right to exercise choice.

5. Always provide a high standard of care and service.

6. Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity for residents through talking to them, listening to them, escorting on outings, working with the resident to enable them to pursue hobbies and interests both in and outside the Home.

7. As required, ensure residents' clothing is correctly labelled and maintained in a good condition; undertake laundering duties; lay tables and distribute trays; assist in the preparation of food; feed residents requiring assistance.

8. Report to the senior person on duty changes in residents' condition or any concerns you might have.

9. Ensure that all written reports are accurate, legible and signed.

10. Take part in staff meetings and training activities as required.

11. Answer emergency bells and if necessary, call senior member of staff on duty; answer the main doorbell and greet visitors with politeness and warmth.

12. Understand and put into practice any required health and safety at work initiatives.

13. In the event of fire or other emergency, carry out the appropriate drill on the instructions of the senior member of staff on duty.

14. Undertake any additional duties as required at the request of the Manager.
