Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families regarding care needs and progress. Drive to various locations as required for home care services.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software are advantageous. A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between locations.
