Days & Nights - 3 days a week, 12 hours per day

Job Summary
The Care Assistant will provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and dignified living environment. The role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring well-being, and contributing to the overall physical and emotional comfort of clients in their own homes or in a care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist service users with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Support mobility, moving, and handling, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate hydration.
Monitor and record service users' overall well-being and any changes in condition, reporting to senior staff.
Undertake light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a pleasant environment.
Assist in the administration of medication, following strict protocols and under supervision.
Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social interaction and mental stimulation.
Accompany service users on outings or to appointments as required.
Maintain accurate and confidential care records in line with company policy.
Uphold the dignity, rights, and independence of all service users at all times.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Understanding of care principles and a person-centred approach.
Ability to assist with moving and handling, following safe practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy.
Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
Observant and attentive to the needs of others.
Basic record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
A relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care) is desirable but not essential.
Previous experience in a care role (residential home, nursing home, or community setting) is advantageous.
Freshers with a genuine passion for care and a willingness to learn are strongly encouraged to apply.
A valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate.
