Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to the needs of each individual.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Maintain accurate records of care plans and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents. Foster a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and promoting their independence. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Drive to clients' homes as required for home care services, ensuring safe transportation. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Ability to read and understand care plans, ensuring that individual needs are met. Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic systems effectively.
