Key Responsibilities
Personal Care:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
Emotional Support:
Build positive relationships with residents, showing empathy, patience, and respect.
Health Monitoring:
Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to senior staff.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records in line with CQC requirements.
Safety & Hygiene:
Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following infection control procedures.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver the best care possible.
Activities & Engagement:
Encourage and assist residents to participate in recreational and social activities to enhance their quality of life.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care or support role.
A caring and compassionate nature.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
