Senior Carer / Care Home Manager

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being at all times in accordance with Ifield Park Care Home's values and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care:

Assist residents with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.

Emotional Support:

Build positive relationships with residents, showing empathy, patience, and respect.

Health Monitoring:

Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to senior staff.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records in line with CQC requirements.

Safety & Hygiene:

Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following infection control procedures.

Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver the best care possible.

Activities & Engagement:

Encourage and assist residents to participate in recreational and social activities to enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care or support role. A caring and compassionate nature. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Crawley RH11 0JE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:

6 months: 1 year (preferred)
