Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires an individual who is not only skilled in personal care but also possesses strong communication abilities to effectively engage with residents and their families. The Care Assistant will assist in the implementation of care plans and ensure that the dignity and respect of each resident are maintained at all times.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow care plans as directed by nursing staff and contribute to the development of individualised care plans. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues. Ability to drive is preferred for transporting residents as needed. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support individuals in need of assistance. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.

Pay: From 12.40 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
