Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Capital Care Group (Portland House Care Home) in Shrewsbury. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing compassionate support and assistance with daily activities. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to safety, dignity, and enjoyment for all service users.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans. Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages independence and personal dignity. Engage residents in social activities that promote well-being and enjoyment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Uphold health and safety standards within the facility at all times. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential. Knowledge of care plans and home care practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and colleagues. Ability to drive is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus. Basic IT skills are beneficial but not essential.
