About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated

Care Assistants / Support Workers

to join our team at

Care at Home (Wearside) Ltd

.
Your role will be to support service users in living dignified, independent, and fulfilling lives within their own homes and the community.

This may include providing

personal, emotional, social, and physical support

.

We currently have a number of part time roles available. These roles require you to be available for shifts between 8am - 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

Support service users in their day-to-day living, promoting independence, inclusion, and diversity in accordance with their care plans. Assist with

personal care

, including washing, dressing, toileting, and getting in or out of bed. Promote mental and physical wellbeing through conversation, companionship, and activities such as reading, hobbies, and social outings. Undertake light household tasks including laundry, changing beds, and tidying rooms. Prepare and serve meals, assist with feeding when needed, and ensure kitchen/dining areas are clean and tidy. Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and participate in staff meetings. Attend training sessions to enhance your understanding of service users' needs and abilities. Report any significant changes in service users' health or circumstances to the Service Manager.

Training & Development

You will be given online and in person training, as well as shadowing. Ongoing training opportunities will be provided to ensure your skills and knowledge remain current.

Experience in a similar role is desirable but

not essential

- full training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
