Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or care homes and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to any specific dietary needs outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, providing companionship during journeys. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to home care and IT systems used for managing care plans.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or within a care home setting is highly desirable. Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
