This is paid work placement for 38 hours a week for 12 weeks (potential for permanent employment once completed) at 12.60 an hour. Due to funding, the successful candidate must live on Anglesey

Driving is essential for this role due to location (Brynseincyn).

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home. This role involves assisting clients with daily living.

Responsibilities

To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse To support and enable individuals to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as required, from time to time, to maintain and progress knowledge The Carer's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure individuals are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing To contribute to the efficient running of the service Support individuals to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community Ensure personal plans and other information about how to support individuals are followed Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of individuals Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service Work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for individuals

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. A valid driving licence is essential due to location A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
