Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a positive environment for our clients in their own homes.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, medication administration and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social interactions. Implement and adhere to individuals care plan, ensuring that all needs are met according to established guidelines. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that all equipment is used properly and safely. Document client care and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential. A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
