Day Care Assistant - Danygraig Care Home

Location: Porthcawl, CF36 5SR
Pay: 12.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 35 per week | Rolling rota including weekends & bank holidays

We're looking for a compassionate Day Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Danygraig Care Home. Whether you're new to care or experienced, this is your opportunity to make a real impact, supporting residents to live with dignity, comfort, and independence.

About Danygraig

Set in a Grade II listed building overlooking the Bristol Channel, Danygraig is a 48-bed home providing specialist residential care for adults living with dementia and mental health conditions. With a supportive team and beautiful surroundings, we pride ourselves on creating a safe and welcoming home.

Your Role

Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming) Support with mobility, transfers, and daily routines Provide companionship and meaningful interaction Help with meals, drinks, and nutrition Monitor wellbeing and report concerns promptly Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control

Shift Pattern

07:00 - 14:00 14:00 - 21:00 Long day: 07:00 - 21:00
(Weekend and bank holiday working included on a rota).

What We're Looking For

? Kind, caring, and adaptable
? Good communicator and reliable team player
? Calm under pressure and organised
? Full UK driving licence preferred (due to rota flexibility)
? NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable (or willing to work towards)
? Experience in care helpful, but not essential - full training provided
